This blog was launched on the occasion of the 50th Earth Day (22 April 2020) by the Editors of The Ecological Citizen. Its purpose is, firstly, to provide a forum for Earth-centred prose for a broader audience than that to which the journal, by its semi-academic nature, potentially appeals and, secondly, to enable the Editors to react more quickly to topical items.

Each piece expresses the opinions of its author and should not necessarily be taken to reflect the views of all Editors.
